2 OUTLETS

01 · PURPOSE

02 · TWO OR THREE

08 · THE RIGHT NUMBER

ENGLISH EDITION · PURPOSEFUL CONNECTIONS

Two or three outlets, chosen around the equipment

A closer look at Subony’s high-capacity range, where outlet count and electrical capacity answer different questions.

01 · Why this range comes with two or three outlets

Counting sockets is an easy way to compare power strips, but it does not describe every product’s purpose. A strip used to collect small chargers and desk accessories serves a different arrangement from one selected around equipment with a substantial power demand. Subony’s high-capacity range offers two-outlet and three-outlet configurations for this more deliberate approach to connecting equipment.

Start with the appliances you intend to use. Establish their connection requirements, understand when they operate, and then decide how many connection points are necessary. The aim is to provide a considered arrangement for those devices, rather than to fill a long row of sockets with as many plugs as possible.

This product positioning does not mean that any two or three powerful appliances can run together without restriction. Nor is it a universal rule that every high-capacity strip must have only two or three outlets. The relevant distinction is between the number of available connections and the total electrical demand that the complete arrangement must support.

02 · Choosing the two-outlet or three-outlet body

A two-outlet configuration is worth considering when the permitted arrangement needs no more than two connection points. The three-outlet version adds another point for equipment that may be connected under the applicable instructions and load limits. There is no obligation to occupy every socket: leaving one unused is a perfectly normal choice.

The official detail information gives body dimensions of 19.4 × 5.2 × 6.2 cm for the two-outlet version and 23.5 × 5.2 × 6.2 cm for the three-outlet version. The listed length therefore increases by about 4.1 cm, while the listed width and height remain the same. Allow for the plugs and their cable exits as well as the body itself when checking the space available.

Choose the additional socket because your equipment plan needs it, not because an empty socket represents spare electrical capacity. Even a three-outlet strip may need to serve one appliance alone when that appliance’s manufacturer specifies dedicated use. Physical availability and permission to share power are separate questions.

03 · Explore the two configurations in 3D

Use the interactive model to switch between two and three outlets. The housing and socket count change together, while the incoming cable remains a single supply connection. Rotating the model helps reveal the recessed sockets, side earth contacts, breaker area, and translucent cover as parts of one complete product arrangement.

The device controls add illustrative shares of demand to a common bar. Turn a device off and its contribution disappears; add another and the total grows. This is a way to understand combined loading, rather than a test result or an appliance compatibility calculator. The displayed percentages are explanatory values, not measured consumption or a replacement for the product’s electrical ratings.

Changing from two outlets to three does not create a separate full allowance for every socket. Watch the shared bar as you change the device combination. The useful question is how much the connected equipment requires together, not simply whether another plug will physically fit into the body.

04 · Read the rating as a limit for the complete product

The official detail tables for both Subony configurations list 250 V AC, 16 A and approximately 4,000 W. These figures must not be multiplied by the number of outlets. Each connected appliance contributes to the demand passing through the shared supply connection, so the combined use must be checked against the applicable product and installation limits.

For an arithmetic example, equipment drawing 1,500 W and 1,200 W totals 2,700 W. Adding an 800 W device while the others operate brings that sum to 3,500 W. This example explains addition; it does not establish that this particular combination is permitted on this product or in a particular building.

Read the voltage and current markings together with the manufacturer’s usage instructions, actual supply voltage, wall outlet, and circuit conditions. A wattage associated with a 250 V rating must not automatically be treated as an always-available allowance on a 220 V supply. The strip cannot increase the capacity of the wiring that supplies it, and a stricter appliance requirement still takes priority.

05 · The covered breaker is part of the product’s identity

One visual feature distinguishes this range from a conventional master-switch strip: an elongated translucent cover occupies one end of the body. Beneath it are the breaker lever and a yellow test button. The official high-capacity product information describes protection against leakage and overload, which are different electrical conditions.

Leakage involves current taking an unintended path. Overload involves drawing more current than the permitted range. A protective device responds to specified abnormal conditions; it does not enlarge the normal operating allowance or make every appliance combination suitable. The presence of a breaker should therefore be considered alongside the load and connection plan.

The cover protects the breaker area but does not make the complete strip waterproof. Keep the product in an appropriate dry location and follow its instructions for testing. If a breaker repeatedly trips, investigate the equipment and supply conditions instead of repeatedly resetting it and continuing the same arrangement.

06 · Check the appliance instructions before sharing connections

High-demand equipment does not all have the same installation requirements. Some appliances require direct connection to a wall outlet, use on their own, or a dedicated circuit. Those instructions remain applicable even when a high-capacity strip has an empty socket. A product that prohibits extension use does not gain an exception merely because the proposed strip carries a high-capacity label.

Where shared connection is permitted, identify the consumption and operating conditions of each device. Consider the periods when their demand may overlap. A timer, automatic restart, or programmed cycle can cause equipment to operate without someone deliberately pressing a button at that moment, so a casual intention to take turns is not a substitute for an appropriate installation.

The practical order is equipment first, combined demand second, outlet count third. Use the device labels and relevant operating requirements rather than assuming that a low reading at one instant describes its greatest demand. Once these questions are resolved, the two-outlet or three-outlet choice becomes much more meaningful.

07 · Match the cable length to the actual route

The official Subony store lists 2 m, 3 m and 5 m arrangements in this high-capacity range. Measure the route the cable will actually follow, including the distance around furniture and the room needed for plugs. A straight-line measurement between the appliance and the wall can miss the length needed to avoid pulling or sharply bending a connection.

Subony’s stated cable-length reference runs from the cable’s start at the body to the centre of the plug. It does not include the power-strip body as part of one overall end-to-end length. Planning the body position separately from the cable route helps make this distinction useful in a real installation.

Keep the body and breaker accessible for inspection. Avoid cable pressure from furniture, trapping at doors, moisture, and tightly bundled surplus cable. Do not solve a shortage of reach or sockets by connecting another power strip to this one. A different cable length or an appropriate electrical installation is a separate decision from adding more connection points.

08 · Let the equipment determine the number of outlets

A good selection begins with three clear questions: what will be connected, may those devices share this arrangement, and what demand can occur when they operate together? The answers establish whether two connection points are sufficient or a third is useful under the applicable conditions.

Subony’s high-capacity two-outlet and three-outlet products are best understood through that purpose. Their value is not simply that they contain fewer sockets. The relevant combination is a suitable number of connections, the covered breaker structure, the product’s total rating, and the cable length needed for the installation.

Treat an unused outlet as an available physical connection, not as a reason to add another appliance. A carefully chosen two-outlet arrangement can be more appropriate than a larger strip bought without a plan; a three-outlet version can be useful when a permitted combination genuinely needs that extra point. In both cases, choose around the equipment before choosing the number of sockets.
